MBA-Reflection 25 october 2009

IT was a beautiful day we had a six-hour class on Saturday the class was divided into two sessions . In first session we learned about the impact that culture, politics and law play in producing or promoting our products in particular country. and also studied and analyzed the two cases first one is the Government of Sao-Paulo city has banned the billboard in his cities there the work of creative marketer starts like how we could market our products in these situations where there will be no banners, no billboards, no adds and moreover how to make people aware of our products so whole class discuss this case and we focus on taking out new and innovative ideas to market our products. and second case related to IBM USA and Korean government about the bribery how bribery can destroy your image with in seconds. while it takes lots of time in making a image for you company.
After that we had a great lunch of Pizza and for this we should thanks Brock who has provided us with free Pizza and after lunch each group has its meeting with Paul which provide us the guidelines on how to move further because our biggest challenge in marketing the product is deciding the right distribution channel and how to advertise our product creativity at last I would like to thank Ali for showing us some pictures from Iran and guess what we have a another mid term on Friday that of accounting .

MBA-REFLECTION 22 October 2009

I listen to the weather report and simply fell good because they say there will be Rain for some days and I am the person who loves Rain and like to get wet and enjoy the rain but I cant do that because Whole of the class is preparing for the mid term on 23 October for establishing Global context we have to read bunch of Articles but I am a sort of person who loves to read short readings like from 3 to 4 pages only but not that articles which are lengthy like 50-60 pages long. But some articles I found it very Interesting specially about the U.S protectionism and US debt how the US protectionism make their own companies less competitive in India. and also about some global Issues about the US debt related to Chinesse economies and exchange rates. These issues are very much important because it help us to make us learn from others mistakes what mistakes the Obama has done while interpreting the Chinesse and Indian markets while considering the others factors. I hope we can survive from this weak specially Friday.

MBA-reflection for 17 October 2009

The class was quite good because Paul show us the slide show about the India so that others countries students which helped the other students to know about the India. It was the historical day for me as I belong to India we have a special festival that is known as Diwali because it is the biggest festival of India because if the historical values that is associated with this festival because on Diwali the lord Rama come back to his town after 14 years spending in exile and also he has killed the king Ravana who is known as the king of devil . and moreover the day of Diwali is known as the victory of Truth over evil and he also shows us that how India is becoming a major market areas in coming time.
After the India slide show of India Paul through a light on how to think outside the box and what factors do we need to consider while doing business internationally like we have to study the culture, politics, and law of that particular country where we want to do the business what are the lifestyles of the people and also what they like what are their tastes how is the political situation of the country is the political situation is enough to do the business. and also we came to know about the difference between the Business to Business and Business(B2B) and Business to Consumers(B2C).
So the class was quite good thanks to Paul I learned a lot of things.

MBA-REFLECTION 14 October 2009

HI
Paul this is Yogesh Garg sharing my reflection with you of 14 October I just came back from Vancouver and it was quite good and amazing experience and I also explore various places in Vancouver Firstly its downtown, then the Stanley park which was quite beautiful and quite places it can gives you a peace of mind and also your inner thoughts can be refreshed and also this place can help you to rejuvenate your mind and forget all your tensions.
so by exploring lots of places in Vancouver i came to know that big cities peoples have different spending, eating and relaxing habits and also they love to parties and enjoy outing whereas small cities people loves to remain outside the homes and try to spend their free time with their families members and they are very economically . So this helped to learned that their are difference in thinkings of big and small cities resident and their thinkings can't be matched with each others .

Thanks

So overall my Saturday night has went great and also learned that different peoples have different styles of enjoying life some enjoy it by going to temples and some by doing parties with friends and some went to quite places depends upon their taste and preferences which make every person unique from anothers.

MBA-REFLECTION 7 OCTOBER 2007

HI
PAUL this is my reflection for the 7 October The day was Wednesday and I would like to share with you what I learned outside the class is all about the communication and how much the communication is important for the mangers, governments officials and for the professors in short its essential for each and everyone. As it is said that at least 80%of the manager's working hours are spent in verbal communication so if the communication is not effective then how the managers will achieve their output. their are some principles for the efficient communication.
listening : good listening skills helps to listen to customers inquires and complaints and able to solve the problems which gains customer loyalty

while meeting with the people you make it sure that you hear the person's name and use it right away which will helpful to remember it.

show values for people's time and provide with short and specify informations.

Also give a chance to each and every person to speak and ask the question from your listener to
involve them in the conversation\

our some part of the communication also involves non verbal which means eye contact , facial experience, voice tone and hand gesture . while taking to someone maintain the eye contact and be consistent with your message.

Lastly I can said that communication is very much essential in each and every where to deliver your message to some one you must have a capability to communicate and also take care of the above factors .
So I learned about the communication and how to do it effectively.

Reflection for 3 October 2007

HI
Paul This is Yogesh garg sharing what i learned from the Saturday class . The class was awesome i really enjoyed specially the candies . and with that i also learned various new things is that there are three levels of awareness first is the top level which comprise of the consumer which has little knowledge of the product. and the second level comprise of the educated consumer which has a little awareness about the product and they have the the option to choose between quality and values and the third level is of the marketers like if you want to market your product you must have the knowledge of the culture and traditions where we are market ting our products .
And from the kotler diagram I learned a lots of thing that firstly you must identify what is the core benefit that is the basic benefit which you are offering to your customers once the basic benefit is completed you have to consider what are generic product available means what are the alternative product available in the market same as your product. the third stage is of expected product is all that the normal expectation of the buyer towards the products are as an marketer are you full filling the normal expectation of the demand. The fourth stage is of augmented that what additional thing that what additional feature and benefits that separate your products from your competitors . And the last stage is of potential that what are the emotions you are including in your product that makes your product unique from your competitors.
I enjoyed a lot in B.B.Q. so overall this is the good experience .
Thanks
Regards
Yogesh Garg
